This is our top wine. The blend is mainly Touriga Nacional, the Douro's top varietal combined with Tinta Roriz. The 1996 was aged for 12 months in new french and american oak barrels and only 23.000 bottles were produced from this vintage. Note that we only release Grande Reserva in outstanding vintages. The tasting note reads "Deep dark purple: very intense smoky rich complex appetising aromas: silky smooth blackcurrant and berry fruit, minty; very long finish."
