This is our interpretation of a grape variety mainly used in Port and Douro wines blends. Normally it produces wines with low complexity and is only useful for blending. Very rarely it’s bottled on its own because usually it lacks structure to age in bottle. However, we decided to bottle part of the best 2015 Tinta Barroca due to its superior quality and the ageing potential that it showed. It reveals intense fruit notes reminding us of the harvest. In the mouth its harmony excels! Round tannins, voluminous with a well marked and vigorous final. A fantastic red wine capable of breaking preconceptions!

This is Douro’s top varietal. Vibrant red in colour, displays a multitude of ripe black fruits and violets on the nose and palate. The finish is chewy with dark chocolate and mocha.

This red wine is made exclusively from Tinta Roriz grapes, one of the classic red Douro varietals and better known all over the world by the name of Tempranillo. Full bodied with a fine fruity nose, it is a wine of great complexity that pays a real homage to the impressive quality of the Douro grapes.

This is one of the 5 key grape varieties of the Douro, also known as Touriga Francesa (although it’s a 100% Portuguese variety). Our Touriga Franca 2009 was aged in French and American barrels for 12 months. It has a deep dark colour with an aroma of berries with some notes of cedar, coffee and cinnamon. In the mouth we find the same fruit and ripe tannins. The final is very complex with some nuances of toasted wood that are well behind the fruit.

WINE ENTHUSIAST CELLAR SELECTION
An impressive single varietal wine, this shows notes of spice, black currant and wood, along with dark tannins and a firm, dry core. With ist acidity and tannins, this will likely age for several years. R.V.

It shows a profusion of floral notes, with fresh and citric aromas such as orange blossom, orange peel and roses. In the mouth it's very mineral with the same copmplexity found on the bouquet and has a lively, elegant and fresh style. Ideal as an apéritif or to accompany saladas, pastas and fusion/pacif rim cuisine.
